Hi, I’m Nicky. I'm an independent travel adviser with a passion for creating calm, relaxing, and meaningful holidays, tailored to a wide variety of interests and abilities.
My thoughtful planning approach ensures every detail is taken care of, so you can leave the stress behind and truly enjoy your holiday.
I specialise in bespoke holiday experiences for all ages, from families with busy toddlers and tricky teens to older family members or those with SEN. I also love planning adult-only getaways, solo travel, or luxury all-inclusive trips for a complete wind-down.

Holiday planning
The first step is to consider the location for your holiday. You can either bring me a location shortlist, or we can chat for inspiration. Let me know who’s coming and their ages; what you’d like to get out of your holiday; what’s worked for you before and what hasn't; any places you've enjoyed visiting; what you fancy doing this time; and your budget. I’ll do my research, speak to my specialist team, and come back with some personalised travel itineraries for you to consider.

Inclusive, accessible advice
As the mum of a family with individual SEN, I understand how difficult it can be to plan a holiday when everyone experiences things differently. Organising a holiday to suit everyone can be stressful, but I know first-hand what helps in some situations, and accessibility and inclusivity are my priorities. The companies I work with are genuinely committed to inclusive travel; they go out of their way to ensure passengers feel comfortable and well supported at every stage.

A tailored experience
I’ll find you a holiday or activity, no matter how specific or wild your ideas are, from stays in boutique hotels, villas, apartments, huts or lodges to all-inclusive package holidays. I can book everything from skiing, city breaks, creative retreats, arts and crafts and wellness trips, to tours, adventure, sightseeing, and cruise holidays. I can also arrange flights, car hire, private drivers, boats and ferries, airport shuttles, taxis, transfers, and limousines, as well as theatre, concerts, and sporting events.
About
Hello, I’m Nicky. My travel journey began when I went interrailing around France, Italy and Spain with four friends after my A Levels.
Since then, I’ve explored Thailand’s deserted beaches and dense jungles; sailed yachts in the Mediterranean, through the Greek Islands and the Norfolk Broads; crossed the Channel in a dinghy and the Amstel River in a pedalo (by mistake), and steered canal boats along the English Waterways.
I worked for years in Cannes, in the south of France, where I walked to work along the beach, dined at the best restaurants, and stayed in high-end hotels for weeks.
I’ve skied in France and Italy, surfed in Devon and Cornwall, and walked the Pennine Way. I’ve driven around Fraser Island in a jeep, explored the depths of the Great Barrier Reef, and sailed the Whitsundays in Australia. I’ve travelled to Corsica, Turkey, and Portugal, tried agrotourism in Italy, and studied French on a farm. My travels through Southeast Asia took me to Cambodia, Vietnam, Lombok, and Bali.

I created the Calm Travel Collective because I enjoy planning holidays, and I’m here to help you with planning yours. People travelling with folk with SEN need a certain level of familiarity, a focus, built-in rest breaks, and, importantly, the ability to relax as much as they can.
